For years, I worked as a full-time commercial artist. While the career gave me stability, it also drained the spark that originally drove me to create. Art became a job—one that demanded deadlines, precision, and constant production. Over time, I realized I was no longer making art for myself. My personal creativity was buried beneath the weight of client work.
That began to change when I turned toward cryptid art. Exploring mysterious creatures like Bigfoot, Mothman, and the Jersey Devil reignited my excitement for sketching. These drawings aren’t the polished, refined pieces I once made for video game studios. Instead, they are quick sketches tied to my podcast episodes—a way to loosen up, practice, and rebuild my artistic voice one sketch at a time.
I’ve also expanded this passion into physical creations. Through my company, formerly known as Cryptid Cur’iosities, I designed and sold unique cryptid merchandise: 3D magnets, busts, t-shirts, and collectible art pieces. Moving forward, all of these products will live under the Arcane Station brand, giving them more visibility and connecting them directly with my podcast and creative projects.
This shift represents more than just a business decision—it’s about rediscovering why I fell in love with art in the first place. By combining cryptid mythology with creative expression, I’ve found a way to balance professional work with personal joy, and I’m excited to share this journey with the growing Arcane Station community.
